Příspěvek podává stručnou informaci k historii časopisu, seznamuje čtenáře, jak se formoval jeho název, jak se měnila redakční rada a jaké jsou cíle časopisu z hlediska budoucího zaměření. Obsahuje též úvodník ke speciálnímu číslu časopisu věnovanému cílům vyučování matematice.
Summary:
The article provides brief information on the history of the journal, acquaints the reader with how its title was formed, how the editorial board changed and what the goals of the journal are in terms of future focus. It also contains an editorial for a special issue of the journal devoted to the goals of teaching mathematics.
