Summary:
On the occasion of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, the Czech Post issued a postage stamp commemorating the 400th anniversary of the publication of Kepler’s work Astronomia nova. The postage stamp portrays Johannes Kepler and schematically explains his first and second law of planetary motion. The first day cover was issued as well.
